Bosch Automotive Internet Authorization Program & Unilateral Price Policy
We recognize that our high-quality resellers invest time and resources to deliver an extraordinary customer experience through knowledgeable staff and a compelling vendor presentation. To support our resellers’ efforts, Robert Bosch LLC, Automotive Aftermarket and Bosch Automotive Service Solutions Inc. (together, “Bosch”) wish to establish policies that allow resellers to earn the profits necessary to maintain the high level of customer excellence people have come to expect from Bosch dealers.
To successfully compete in the marketplace and to maintain its premium brand image, Bosch has announced this Unilateral Policy. Hereafter, all sales from Authorized Resellers to End Users of products set forth in the Bosch Unilateral Price Grid inside the United States and Canada shall be subject to this Unilateral Policy.
i. Internet Authorization Program
To sell “Bosch” products on the Internet, you MUST become a “Bosch” Authorized Internet Reseller. Authorized Internet Resellers must sign an Authorized Internet Reseller Agreement regulating the manner in which they sell. We believe this Internet Authorization Program will create a stable online brand presence, healthy available margins and the end to free-riding by discount retailers or gray market sellers who provide few or no services.
ii. Unilateral Price Policy
The Unilateral Price Policy sets forth the list of recommended price points at which we believe our products should be advertised for Resellers to enjoy a sustainable margin while simultaneously providing the level of high-quality customer service and support end-users of our products have come to expect. However, all Resellers remain free to choose their own advertised and resale prices.
