Bosch Activated Charcoal Filters can trap close to 100% of airborne contaminants and foul-smelling gases and odors.

Bosch Premium Cabin Filters absorb up to 100% of all pollen, dust particles and harmful substances. This results in a noticeable improvement in the air quality inside the vehicle. Bosch Activated Charcoal Filters go one step further than Particulate Filters. Bosch Activated Charcoal Cabin Air Filters have a 5-layer design that includes an additional carbon layer that absorbs toxic and foul-smelling gases such as ozone, nitrogen oxide, sulfur dioxide and hydrocarbons, and an additional cover layer for extra protection.

Cabin filters are generally found in one of three locations: under the hood, inside the glove box or under the dashboard. Recommended replacement is every 12,000 to 15,000 miles, or once a year.

Activated Charcoal Cabin Air Filter Features Activated Charcoal Cabin Air Filter Benefits

3rd and 4th Layers – Non-woven cover layers Adds stability to protect the microfiber layer from damage and acts as an additional barrer to harmful contaminants
5th Layer – Activated charcoal layer Absorbs toxic and foul-smelling gases such as ozone, nitrogen oxide, sulfur dioxide and hydrocarbons
More pleats Provides greater surface area for higher filtration capacity
Foam perimeter gasket (where specified by OE) Prevents harmful particles from bypassing the filter media
