This past week, Vaughn Gittin Jr. took his Monster Energy Falken Tire Ford Mustang supported by the Autosport Dynamics crew to TianJin, China to compete in the opening round of World Drift Series (WDS) – China’s premier drift series – in hopes of a podium finish. The event consisted of top drivers from China, Russia, and Japan, as well as five Formula Drift stars. Vaughn Gittin Jr. and the Monster Energy Falken Tire Ford Mustang came to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for Formula Drift Round 6 in hopes of a podium finish, just as he had obtained at this very same venue in the 2010 season. After qualifying high and making it all the way to the top 16, unfortunately Vaughn made a serious mistake in one of his runs, taking himself out of the competition. Vaughn Gittin Jr. slid into Seattle over the weekend and jumped back in the driver’s seat of the Monster Energy Falken Tire Ford Mustang, ready to battle his fellow Formula Drift competitors. Evergreen Speedway was host to Round 5, with a course consisting of a long bank and an exciting transition to a technical infield.
