Vaughn Gittin Jr. Wins World Drift Series in China

Vaugh Gittin Jr. and the Mustang RTR Drift Team have been non-stop busy all over Europe at various events and winning the World Drift Series in China. Vaughn continues his world-wide advocacy for the sport of drifting.
In Texas, prior to China, Vaughn competed in Round 6 of the Formula Drift. After winning his first two matches and being deemed the winner in the third matchup there was a protest. A decision was made to overturn his win and he did not move on to the finals finishing in 5th place. Next up is the Formula Drift finales at the Irwindale Speedway Club.

Vaughn Gittin Jr. gained crucial championship points after qualifying in 4th place out of 50 drivers in Round 5 of the Throwdown. During the top 8 battle he suffered a transmission failure and finished top eight overall. Coming up this weekend Vaughn heads to Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri for another spectacular military Smoke Show.

After a challenging weekend at the Wall Stadium Speedway, Vaughn Gittin Jr. and the RTR Drift Team remained in second place overall in points in the Formula Drift Championship. Next up for Vaughn is the Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, WA in July for Round Five.

Unpredictable weather and a technical track made for some tough battles over the weekend at the Palm Beach International Raceway for Round 3 –Invasion– of the Formula Drift 2013 Pro Championship. Vaughn ended with a fourth place finish after a mistake that caused contact, damaging his Mustang beyond repair and dropping him down a spot overall to 2nd place in the Formula Drift Championship, only 13 points behind Saito in first.
Round 4 –The Gauntlet– takes place June 21-22 in Wall, NJ at the Wall Speedway.

Vaughn Gittin Jr. and the RTR Drift Team traveled to Tianjin, China for the first round of the World Drift Series and the first international event of the 2013 season. WDS is China's premier drift series that attracts over fifty thousand people and is held at the Olympic Stadium. Vaughn and his Ford Mustang RTR-D powered by Bosch Spark Plugs and Alternator had a perfect day by qualifying in 1st place in a field of drivers from around the world. This is Vaughn's third consecutive year taking first place in Tianjin, as well as his third consecutive podium of the 2013 season.
