This past weekend Vaughn Gittin Jr. was at Sonoma’s Infineon Raceway with hopes of a podium finish, which he has achieved twice before at this track.
Vaughn finished in seventh place, driving his Bosch-equipped Mustang, and was able to move up two spots to third place overall in the points chase for the Championship. Next stop for the Formula Drift nationwide tour is Round 7 at Irwindale Speedway, better known as the “House of Drift” and the venue at which Vaughn has won two World Championships and one FD round. With only one event left to go in the season, Vaughn hopes for not only a podium finish at Irwindale, but an overall podium finish in the 2009 Formula Drift Championship. Vaughn Gittin Jr. Fights His Way to Fourth Place

Vaughn Gittin Jr. arrived at Formula Drift Round 5 at Evergreen Speedway in Monroe, Washington this past weekend ready to rock in his Bosch-equipped 2010 Ford Mustang. After an unexpected incident in the final four which led him to tap Eric O’Sullivan’s car and become DQ’ed, he battled Tyler McQuarrie in the consolation round only to be beaten by his Falken Tire teammate.
Vaughn finished the event in fourth place and currently sits in fifth place overall in points for the Formula Drift Championship. Vaughn Goes "All In" at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Last weekend Vaughn Gittin Jr. came out to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for Formula Drift Round 4 with his Bosch-equipped 2010 Ford Mustang dialed-in, ready to battle, and earn some well-needed championship points. Vaughn endured the intense heat on Thursday in order to lay down some sick practice runs on the new course layout – which was made to resemble Ebisu – a well-known circuit that Vaughn has driven in Japan.

Vaughn Takes Second Place at Formula Drift Round Three!

Vaughn Gittin Jr. rolled into Wall Stadium for Round Three of Formula Drift with two goals – to put on a great show for all of the East Coast fans and to finish the day standing atop the coveted podium. After an amazing day of drifting Saturday, he managed to achieve both of those goals, plus take part in Formula Drift history driving his Bosch-equipped 2010 Ford Mustang.
Not only was Vaughn extremely excited to sweep second place on his home coast with tons of family, friends, and fans in attendance, but he would be standing on top of the podium with two of his Falken Tire teammates! A first-time for any tire company in the history of Formula Drift! Amazingly, this was also the first 2010 Ford Mustang in history to finish on the podium in any motorsport!
With his second place finish at Round Three, Vaughn has moved up to fifth place overall in the 2009 Formula Drift points chase. On September 6, 2008, Vaughn Gittin Jr. teamed up with Bosch to stage a one-of-a-kind event. Billed as "Performance Art," Vaughn drifted his Bosch-sparked Mustang through a closed course in downtown Los Angeles, leaving a unique pattern of tire marks and creating his "Abstract on Asphalt."
