Joey Logano Makes History as Youngest Sprint Cup Winner for Gibbs Racing
Loudon, NH, June 28, 2009 — Joey Logano became the youngest winner in NASCAR stock car racing history when he won the rain-shortened Sprint Cup feature race Sunday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway driving a Bosch spark plug-equipped Toyota Camry. Logano, who turned 19 years old on May 24, and his Joe Gibbs Racing crew gambled on fuel and hit the jackpot here Sunday. Logano kept running while other cars pitted for fuel and he was in the lead when the race was called after 273 of the scheduled 301 laps. Logano's first win came in his 20th Sprint Cup start after making his debut at the NHMS oval track last September. Jeff Gordon, Logano's idol as a young aspiring racer, finished second in his Bosch-equipped Chevrolet Impala for Hendrick Motorsports while his teammate and three-time defending Cup champion, Jimmie Johnson, rounded out the top-three sweep for Bosch. Bosch-sparked entries have now won the last 15 Sprint Cup races in NASCAR'S primary stock car racing series.

19th Career IndyCar Win for Scott Dixon at Richmond on Bosch

Richmond, VA, June 27, 2009 — Strong pit stop work by his Target Ganassi Racing crew allowed defending IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon to win the SunTrust IndyCar Challenge Satruday night at Richmond International Raceway. Dixon took the lead at the midpoint when he beat his Target Ganassi teammate and race-leader Dario Franchitti out of the pits. It was the 19th career victory for the New Zealander Dixon, tying him with Sam Hornish, Jr. for the most series wins. Graham Rahal drove his Newman-Haas-Lanigan Dallara Honda to third place and a podium sweep for Bosch plugs.  Bosch is again this year equipping all Dallara Honda V8 entries with Bosch racing spark plugs.
