Bosch OE SmartLink Connector System Expands Oxygen Sensor Vehicle Coverage

Las Vegas, NV (Tuesday, November 04, 2008)

Bosch has introduced the patented OE SmartLink™ oxygen sensor connector system. OE SmartLink allows 14 OEM-specific, heated oxygen sensors to cover up to 96.2% of all OE domestic and import vehicle applications by simply installing the patented connector system onto the existing wire harness.

The OE SmartLink system includes a premium, OEM-specific, heated oxygen sensor that comes standard with a 24” wire harness. The 24” extra-length harness allows for replacement of any worn or damaged wire in the existing OE sensor harness. The patented connector comes in an easy-to-use kit that contains all the necessary components and instructions to do the job right.

Patented OE SmartLink features:

Waterproof connector body

  • Fully submersible and resistant to car wash and roadside spray
  • Allows OE-type sensor to “breathe” reference air

Special high-temperature Posi-Lock® connectors

  • Quick, easy installation
  • Screw-on caps are reusable in the event of a wiring error

Designed and tested to rigorous U.S. standards

  • Resistant to vibration, thermal exposure and thermal shock
  • High current flow

“Bosch invented and leads the industry with automotive oxygen sensors. The Bosch OE SmartLink system allows our customers to maximize their inventory and rapidly meet their customers’ needs while providing traditional Bosch sensor quality and durability," notes Tim Kruto, Product Manager, Engine Management Products for Bosch.
